FLASH PROJECT - MENTAL ILLNESS

interactive Flash animation

I confess that my previous mental illness project (the triple poster for linkmembers only) was a little more complete than this one in terms of text. This project is designed to give you a bunch of little bits of data, and misses some (like the list of people with depression from Abe Lincoln and Princess Diana to Edgar Allan Poe and Vincent Van Gogh), to the debate (did Albert Einstein have Asperger's Syndrome? What about Bill Gates - he certainly has some autistic traits...)

Nor do I mention mentally ill people like the famous woman Temple Grandin, the talented animal-loving autistic inventor, or differentiate between the five forms of autism (Asperger's Syndrome is one of them). But I figure if you want all that data, you can find it on Wikipedia. The main point of this project is to look and sound cool, which it does, in spades. Entertaining and mildly educational. It was an assignment for Multimedia Production 1, with Nubia Eisenlohr. Download it here: THE SWF file, click Save Target As and download to your PC, then play it. It's pretty well-constructed, done with 3d graphics made in Lightwave, cool sound design, and good animation and I got an A on it.
